SUMMARY. We define induced percentile selection differential as an alternative to induced selection differential which estimates improvement in Y-character when selection is based on an associated X-character. We discuss the asymptotic distribution theory of this quantity. The linear regression model is studied in detail to obtain the various possible limit laws for the induced percentile selection differential.
