ON GEOMETRICALLY INFINITELY DIVISIBLE LAWS AND GEOMETRIC DOMAINS OF ATTRACTION

SUMMARY. we first briefly review the concepts of geometrically infinitely-divisible and of geometrically-strictly-stable laws, introduced in Klebanov, Maniya and Melamed (1984), proving some additional results on them; also taking into account the work of Mejzler (1973) and the ' transfer theorem', we introduce and study 'geometrically-right-semistable laws' and finally consider geometric domains of attraction and of partial attraction.
