A NOTE ON THE GENERATING FUNCTION OF A NEGATIVE HYPERGEOMETRIC DISTRIBUTION

SUMMARY. It is shown that the generating function of a negative hypergeometric distribution satisfies a certain differential equation which provides simple proofs of some limit distributions.
