DETERMINATION OF THE NO-OBSERVED-ADVERSE -EFFECT LEVEL BY THE AIC

SUMMARY. The determination of the no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) is given, and the procedure for determination of the NOAEL based on the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) is described in a general situation including dichotomous and categorical response data (ie., severity data), and continuous response data. Examples are given to illustrate the procedure.
