B. SINGH, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Itanagar
SUMMARY. CATANOVA method for analysis of two way classified nominal data is developed analogous to the least squares method of fitting constants for two way cross-classified quantitative data with disproportionate cell frequencies. This method has been compared with simple chi-square method through a numerical example.
AMS (1991) subject classification. 62J10.
Key words and phrases. Adjusted sums of squares, CATANOVA, Chi-square method and nominal data.
