ON CATANOVA METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF TWO-WAY CLASSIFIED NOMINAL DATA

SUMMARY.  CATANOVA method for analysis of two way classified nominal data is developed analogous to the least squares method of fitting constants for two way cross-classified quantitative data with disproportionate cell frequencies. This method has been compared with simple chi-square method through a numerical example.
