SUMMARY. Parity Progression Ratio (PPR) is an important measure of fertility dynamics and family building process. In this paper a method has been developed for estimating the Parity Progression Ratios (PPR) from the birth interval data. The proposed method has been developed by utilizing some results of Srinivasan's (1978) and Bhattacharya's (1984) paper under some simplified assumptions. The application of the method to an observed data set indicates that the method may gives more precise estimate of Parity Progression Ratio.
